Income Officer JD.docx

Income Officer (part time)

Hello… Here at ongo, we believe everyone has the potential to be great. It’s what drives us to come to work and do our jobs every day.

Most people know us as a landlord providing homes to 10,000 people and their families. But homes aren’t our business, people are.

We now wish to appoint a part time Income Collection Officer with a salary of £21,171 (pro-rata for part time.) This is a permanent vacancy which is part time, 18.5 hours per week. The normal working hours for this position is Wednesday morning, Thursday and Friday, however, these are flexible.

Dealing promptly and efficiently with individual cases in order to maximise income and minimise the amount of debt outstanding to Ongo Homes, you will be a skilled negotiator with first class communication skills who is empathetic but firm, and unafraid to make difficult decisions.

You will be numerate and proficient in a variety of IT packages, particularly Microsoft office. An understanding of housing and welfare benefits, combined with experience of working in a housing related field and debt advice knowledge, would be a considerable advantage but commitment and enthusiasm, along with the ability to work on your own initiative with a variety of internal staff and with external customers/agencies in demanding circumstances, is equally important.

Closing date for applications –Monday 25th June at 5pm

Interviews – 4th and 5th July 2018
