Successful Market Hill fun day
Over 100 people attended this year’s Market Hill fun day, hosted by our residents from the Market Hill Resident Association.
The event took place on Thursday 25 August 2016 in the central square of Market Hill, Scunthorpe, between 11am and 4pm.
There were lots of activities for the whole family to get involved in, including Ongo stands, a bouncy castle, henna painting, a book swap and even a visit from Ongo Bear.
The weather didn’t dampen spirits either with lots of local residents getting involved in the event.
Joyce Wright, Chair of the Market Hill Residents Association, said “We’re really pleased with how the fun day has gone. It’s nice to see lots of the residents living in Market Hill coming and getting involved in something we’ve worked hard to organise.
"It was a great to see the Mrs. Ongo Bear and Deputy Mayor Cllr Peter Clark too.”
Emily Chapman, Customer Engagement Officer at Ongo, said: “Everyone did a great job in organising the event today, a big thank you especially to the residents living at Market Hill who worked so hard to get everything ready.
“This free event is another way that Ongo gives back to the local community, by offering them something for the whole family to get involved in without having to spend money.
“We’re always looking for feedback on how to make our events even bigger and better so if anyone has any feedback they can let us know through our website or on Facebook or Twitter.”
