Little Owls nursery move to The Arc in Spring 2018

Work is progressing on track on the £9million Westcliff regeneration project in Scunthorpe.

The pre-school area is due for completion by March 2018, and will see Little Owls nursery move into the brand new building in Spring 2018.

Kaye Clapson, Director of Little Owls nursery, said: “This is going to be an absolutely amazing space and the facilities we will have will be great. We’re so excited to get moved into The Arc and be able to start working in partnership with Ongo and everyone based in The Arc.

“We’re wanting to offer a good start to children coming to our nursery, to help them progress in a safe and secure environment. We work with lots of families in the Westcliff area, so the location is perfect.

“We hope to be able to put on lots of sessions to support the whole community once The Arc is up and running. We can’t wait.”

The pre-school which will have space for 24 children at any one time, and they will be moving from their temporary building.

With security features including safety double doors and a CCTV camera monitoring system, the pre-school meet all the necessary safety standards. There will also be a large outdoor play area as well as a covered area to allow the children to still play outside despite the weather.

Jan Williams, Head of Community Investment, said: “We can’t wait to welcome Little Owls into The Arc. Their pre-school will be a fantastic, modern space built to a high specification and will be a brilliant facility for the Westcliff community.

“The whole project is on track and we’re expecting the whole of The Arc to be open in Spring 2018.”
