Charity quiz remembers local teen
We are hosting a Charity Quiz Night in memory of Ayshea Singh, a local teenager who died in 2014.
The event will take place at 8pm on 20 October 2016 at the Wortley House Hotel, Scunthorpe. The hotel has kindly donated the room for the evening.
Ayshea sadly died in July 2014 after a very long battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She was just 16.
All money raised at the quiz will go to Ayshea’s chosen charity - Teenage Cancer Trust.
On the night, teams can have up to eight players with tickets priced at £4 per person, and can be purchased from Cafe Indiependent in Scunthorpe town centre.
As well as the quiz there will be a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.
Leah Gillott, Marketing Assistantat Ongo, said: “I am so excited that we are able to raise money for a charity that helped my friend Ayshea so much.
“She was such an amazing, kind-hearted person and to be able to do something in her memory means a lot to me. Please come along and help to raise money for a very worthy cause.”
Megan Singh, Ayshea’s older sister, said: “I am very grateful for all of the effort Ongo has put into organising this event.
“I would also like to thank The Wortley House Hotel for supporting us previously and also for sponsoring this event.
“Ayshea would love that we are continuing to raise money for her chosen charity, Teenage Cancer Trust. It’s a charity that allows us to come together to remember how much of a special girl she was.”
