We raise £1,000 for Cancer Research
Thirteen Ongo staff completed the Lincoln Pretty Muddy course on Saturday 1 October, raising £1,035 for Cancer Research.
The event is organised by Cancer Research and raises vital funds to go towards research for over 200 types of cancer. Pretty Muddy is described as a muddy obstacle course over a 5km route suitable for women of all abilities.
Lauren Robinson, HR Assistant at Ongo, said: “Everyone did brilliantly in the Pretty Muddy event, the whole team completed the course and we all had a great time doing it.
“It was a really enjoyable day, being able to spend time with work friends and raising money for such a worthwhile cause at the same time.
“Cancer Research is a charity that supports so many people and will, without doubt, have supported lots of Ongo staff and tenants living in Ongo homes so it was great to be able to support such a good cause and raise money for them.
“So far we’ve raised just over £1,000 but the total is still rising with lots of offline donations being made to the Ongo team. Everyone has been really generous in supporting our team and Cancer Research with their donations so we all want to say a massive thank you for that.”
