We're celebrating today after receiving the news that we've been ranked 39th in the Top 100 best not-for-profit companies to work for in the UK.
This is the fourth year that we've been put forward for the award and we're delighted that for a second year running we've made it to the Top 50 list in the not-for-profit sector.
The ranking is an improvement on our previous ranking of 45th in 2013.
The annual awards scheme is run by Best Companies Ltd, in conjunction with The Sunday Times, and asks staff to provide feedback across a number of factors for their company.
Staff were asked to give their feedback on the company to Best Companies Ltd, focusing particularly on eight factors:
- My Company
- Personal Growth
- My Manager
- My Team
- Giving Something Back
- Fair Deal
The survey results were then used by The Sunday Times to discover the Top 100 companies to work for in the UK.
The highly anticipated event is widely acknowledged as the most searching and extensive research into employee engagement carried out in this country.
Our Chief Executive Andy Orrey said: “This is a great achievement once again for the company and every member of staff and our wider family of tenants should be proud that our company has not only been recognised on such a prestigious Top 100 list, but for the second year running has achieved Top 50 status.”
“Our ongo remit remains the same in that people come first and we strive to do the best for our staff, tenants and the communities we operate in. Such a survey reflects our premise of investing in our staff and caring about their wellbeing in order to create a workforce that is engaged with the company and understands what we are about.”
“This philosophy underpins everything we do here at ongo, and will continue to do so in the future.”
We worked closely with local charity Lindsey Lodge Hospice, with £2 being donated to the Hospice for each survey that was completed, helping to raise £484.
