Community Grant Project 2017


We are delighted to announce that community projects can apply for a share of £20,000 through our Community Development Grants Programme. We are offering up to £2,000 for any group which fit our criteria and are able to demonstrate that their project will benefit local communities, particularly those where Ongo Homes has tenants by meeting the needs of that community. 


Our Criteria

In order to apply, your group must:

  • Be willing to tell your projects story by sending a short video.
  • Be based within the North Lincolnshire county boundary.
  • Be able to show direct benefits to tenants of Ongo Homes.
  • Agree to the grant conditions if you are successful, before payment is released.
  • Maximum project grant request must not exceed £2,000.
  • All applications must reach us by Tuesday 31 January 2017.


Our Process

  • Grant requests can only be considered by video submissions.   
  • Our grants panel will convene in no later than February 2017 to go through all video applications.
  • The grants panel consists of Ongo staff, board members and tenants.
  • You will be notified if you have been successful or not by Tuesday 28 February 2017.
  • Eligible project must be able to start by the 1st May 2017 at the latest and end by the 31st March 2018.   

 

How to apply

We have chosen to receive video applications as we want to see and hear your passion and how grant funding will benefit your project. Videos must not exceed 5 minutes in length, any video which is longer than 5 minutes will not be shortlisted. Submissions may be sent us at -  communitydevelopmentgrants@gmail.com

 All video applications must cover the following points within the 5 minutes:

  • Details of the project/scheme which is seeking the grant funding;
  • How the project meets at least one of the themes of our Community Strategy, which are:
  1.  Education & Skills
  2.  Helping Communities to Thrive
  3.  Employment & Enterprise
  • How much grant funding is being sought;
  • How the grant funding would be spent;
  • Why the project/scheme should receive a share of the grant funding;
  • Contact details for the applicant.
