Age restrictions removed on high rise flats, bungalows and low rise blocks

Community Voice, the group of tenant representatives that help us with our decision making, have approved the removal of age restrictions on high rise flats, bungalows and low rise blocks at their meeting in July following a consultation period.

Back in July, we consulted with tenants who currently live in our high rise flats through a consultation event held at Heslam Park. We also sent online survey to tenants currently living in our homes with age restrictions as well as applicants that have applied for this type of accommodation in the past. 

Almost 1,700 people gave us their thoughts, 49% of which were current Ongo tenants and 51% were applicants. The majority of respondents (61%) said that there should be no age restrictions on high rise flats, bungalows or low rise flats.

Available homes will now be advertised without age restrictions on Home Choice Lincs.
