Crowle community group awarded over £1,000

In October 2019, Ideal Boilers donated a total of £1,100 to Crowle Community Action Group, to install benches and improve well-being in the area.
The grant was made available through Ideal boilers promise to donate £5 from every boiler installed in one of our homes, to projects that benefit our tenants.
It’s hoped that the two brand new benches on Eastoft Road and Manor Gardens in Crowle, will help tackle social isolation and encourage conversation.
John Jackson, a tenant and member of Crowle Community Action Group, said: “I think the bench at Manor Gardens looks marvellous. It’s great to watch people interacting and putting it to good use.
“The location is perfect for events we hold and we can’t thank Ongo and Ideal Boilers enough.”
Carl Rose, a representative from Ideal Boilers commented: “We believe in giving back to local communities, which fits perfectly with Ongo’s values.
“We’re really pleased to be able to offer these benches to residents in Crowle, as part our Corporate Social Responsibility scheme, and hope they can be enjoyed for many years to come.”
The first bench at Manor Gardens was fitted in October 2019, with the second due to be in place by March 2020.
Sandra Salmon, Customer Engagement Officer here at Ongo said: “This project is a fantastic example of how we work with our tenants and suppliers to make a difference.
“I’ve really enjoyed being a part of it, and am excited to work on more community projects with Ideal Boilers in the future.”
