Helping you get on the property ladder

Our first rent to buy development is nearing completion, with families expected to move into the brand new homes next month.
The 14 two and three bedroom homes on Collum Avenue in Scunthorpe were built to support people wanting to get on the property ladder, but don’t have a deposit saved.
Rent to buy is a scheme where tenants live in a home for five years, paying less than market rent – to allow time to save towards a deposit. It is a national initiative to support people to get on the property ladder that do not have enough saved. These homes are the first in this area to be available for rent to buy.
Amy Schoenmaker, Development Project Manager said: “We know how hard it can be to become a home owner, which is why we were so keen to offer rent to buy homes in North Lincolnshire. Alongside our shared ownership homes, these are another fantastic option to own your own property.”
“By renting at a reduced rate for five years, it gives time to save the extra money towards a deposit, with the option to buy at the end. The homes on Collum Avenue look great, and are finished to a lovely standard. We can’t wait for people to move in.”
This is the first of three rent to buy developments we’ve announced plans for in Scunthorpe. The other two on Rochdale Road and Rowland Road will be ready for families to move in during 2020, so keep an eye out for updates on those here: www.ongo.co.uk/renttobuy.
