More family homes handed over

Thirteen families have moved into their brand new home this month on Ancholme Road in Scunthorpe.
The development includes five two-bedroom and eight three-bedroom homes for affordable rent.
Each is spacious and comes with our latest kitchen and bathroom design, along with modern features including BT super-fast broadband and electrical vehicle charging points.
The thirteen homes take the place of shops that were demolished back in 2018, with the land being idle and rundown since.
Sue Revell, Lettings Officer on the project said: “They are lovely homes in a great area of the town, and we were really glad to see people move in to them.
“The little extras like the electric charging points are a fantastic addition and are something you’ll see more of with our homes.
“We have even more excited tenants due to move in before the year is out, so keep an eye out for updates on those.”
Local contractors T.G Sowerby worked on this project, with Homes England providing the funding.
Bethany Clapham, who moved into one of the properties commented: “We began looking for an Ongo home for more security, as we were in private rent. Then we were lucky enough to get this and we absolutely love it.
“Everything has been thought about, even little things like outside lights and USB ports. The best thing though is definitely the amount of storage, we have two children and pets so that’s important for us.
“Our decoration are already up and we’re really looking forward to this Christmas, and many more in our new home.”
