New over 55 apartments in Gainsborough coming soon

Work is well underway on 24 brand new one and two bedroom apartments on North Marsh Road, Gainsborough.

The apartments, which are specifically for anyone over the age of 55, are due for completion in March 2020 and will be advertised on West Lindsey Home Choice (homechoice.west-lindsey.gov.uk) in January 2020.

They are set in a prime location with shops and local amenities nearby, along with a communal lounge within the development, for residents to get together for social activities.

Promotion of the project kicked off on Tuesday 3 December with us and West Lindsey District Council holding an open event at Marshall’s Yard, Gainsborough.

Helen Wright, Support Services Manager said: “The event was great, it gave us a chance to speak to local people and get the word out there. We even registered a couple of people that expressed an interest.

“I was on site recently and the homes look fantastic, they’re all spacious and finished to a high standard. They will be advertised soon, and we will have show flats available to view in February, so if you’re interested please make sure you get in there quick.”

We received grant funding from Homes England and West Lindsey District Council to deliver the homes, with The Gelder Group working on the development.

Di Krochmal, Lead Officer for Strategic Housing at West Lindsey District Council said: “The open day was a great way for local people to find out more about the scheme. These properties will be advertised through the Council’s Choice Based Lettings scheme. You need to be registered in order to ‘bid’ on the properties when they become available early next year.
