New project to get local people into work launched

We will be launching a brand new project this month, to get more than 300 people into work, education or training.

The project will support disadvantaged people from communities across North Lincolnshire, focusing on mental health issues and barriers to work.

It will continue up until December 2023 and work with older people, those with disabilities, lone parents and young people aged 16-25.

The team will help clients to develop the confidence and skills they need to move forward and make a real difference in their well-being and employment status.

“Our team know and understand the barriers faced by those who are struggling to get into work or education, and it’s our job to work through them and improve outcomes.

“This project really is fantastic and we are excited to see how it’ll help so many. From accessing mental health support, life coaching, pre-employment training, volunteer placements and working with clients every step of the way, the Endeavour project will help so many.”

£300,000 of funding has been received from the European Social Fund (ESF) to get the project running, with Ongo contributing a further £200,000 as part of their promise to reinvest profit back into communities.

Along with the Endeavour project, we have a range of employment support programmes available. From working with children aged eight and over to empower them in their education, to helping individuals set up their own business, and even for businesses to employ their own members of staff.
