Our Maintenance team keep local children safe at Frodingham Infant School
When Jamie Pauley, a member of our Clean and Clearance team, saw a plea from staff at Frodingham Infant School asking for the local community to help build a wall to keep the children safe; he instantly wanted to help.
After speaking to Sophie Haigh, Ongo Area Manager, both Sophie and Jamie felt that they should help as now that schools are back open again, many parents are worried about the safety of their children.
In a very short amount of time the team were able to source and build the school a temporary wall that will help keep children safe and remain in their bubbles.
Jamie said: “My children attended this school and the teachers go above and beyond to help each pupil. When I saw them asking for help, I without a doubt knew that I wanted to get involved.”
“After speaking to Sophie, we were able to get the ball rolling with this and completely free of charge we made this wall for the school.
“I’m so happy to be able to help, if it wasn’t for the teachers at this school I would never have met my partner, so with that and my children attending here – it’s an important place to me.”
Frodingham Infant School have greatly appreciated the help.
Mrs Milburn, one of the teachers at the school, said: “It’s absolutely fantastic the work that has been put in to this. The fencing quality in itself is really safe.
“By having this it means we can have two different bubbles out at the same time which means we can keep the bubbles separate and safe really easily.”
Well done to Jamie and the team for living the Ongo values and helping the local community. Be sure to keep an eye on our news page to remain updated with our latest news.
