We've raised over £160 for Macmillan

On Friday 28 September we joined in on the world’s largest coffee morning, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The world’s largest coffee morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event, and last year alone over £27 million was raised from it to provide support for people facing cancer.

Our staff raised a huge £163 in total after hosting two events.  The first was at their headquarters at Church Square, Scunthorpe and another at their Cole Street office in Scunthorpe.

There were a host of cakes, scones and other sweet treats on offer, as well as information about Macmillan and what they do.

Hayley Ackers, Support Services Team Leader said: “We take part in this campaign each year to say thank you to Macmillan for the help, time, patience and understanding that they give to so many affected by cancer.

“They are a truly great charity, and I’m proud we were able to support them. We already have next year’s date in the diary.”
