More than 800 local people access employment support

Over 800 people living in North Lincolnshire have been supported over the last 12 months by us, to help get them work ready.

Our Employment Support Team, based at Laneham Street in Scunthorpe, has worked with 807 clients to help get them work ready through support, training and guidance, with 262 of those securing employment or completing recognised training.

In just 12 months, 807 people have accessed the services provided by our Employment Support Team. This includes attending training courses, completing qualifications, receiving advice and help in applying for jobs, signing up to work experience or volunteer placements and life coaching sessions.

Hayley Cullen, Operations Manager of the Employment Support Team, said: “We’re over the moon at this year’s figures. We’ve introduced some great new projects over the last couple of years, and we’re very proud that we’re now able to offer support to more people than ever.

“We help people from all walks of life, regardless of their background or what issues they may be facing to stop them getting into work. One of our newest projects, which offer support to people with mental health issues, has been accessed by 116 in just 12 months, exceeding its target.

“We have lots of exciting plans for the next 12 months, including recruiting more staff through external funding, moving to a new office and increasing the range of services on offer to get even more people into employment.”
