£20,000 up for grabs

Local communities are invited to apply for a share of £20,000.

Community groups in North Lincolnshire can apply for a grant of up to £2,000 to support the work they do as part of an exciting new scheme approved by our Ongo Communities team.

There are criteria that the groups must meet and they must be able to demonstrate that their project will benefit local communities and wherever possible support our tenants.

Groups which would like to submit an application should do so by Monday 16 January 2017 and groups will be notified by the end of February whether they have been successful. A panel made up of our staff, tenants and Board members will decide on the successful groups.

Applications must be in the format of a short video which gives details of the group and the project they would like funding for.

Jan Williams, Head of Ongo's Community Development, said: “We’re really excited to announce our Community Development Grants Programme. Ongo is all about supporting the local community and this is another way we’re able to give back and support the great work that is going on in our area.

“We’re hoping to see lots of local groups putting applications forward to bid for a share of the £20,000 we have available. From the video applications we want to get a feel for the group and to really understand how this money could help them.”
