We've achieved a top rating from our regulator

We have once again achieved the highest possible rating for its financial management and governance from the Government’s housing regulator, the Homes & Communities Agency (HCA).

On 29 November 2017, the HCA published that we had achieved the highest V1 grade for financial viability. This means Ongo Homes has the financial capacity to deal with a wide range of adverse scenarios.

We also retained our G1 rating for governance – again the highest rating awarded.

Before publishing its ruling, the HCA carried out a review of Ongo Homes’ financial statements and forecast returns, information about our housing stock and management of assets, details about our approach to governance and current business structures, the business plan, outcomes of internal and external audits and an assessment of value for money achievements.

Matthew Spittles, Chair of Ongo Homes, said: “We are very pleased that the HCA is once again assured that we run a business which is well governed and financially strong.

“It comes as comfort for our thousands of tenants too, knowing that their landlord is a secure and strong organisation and has the right processes in place to deliver high quality, value for money services.

“At a time when the delivery of housing is under pressure nationally,  we are pleased to continue to meet the high standards rightly expected by the Government, and our customers.”

Ongo Homes, is a not-for-profit housing association, regulated by the Government’s HCA. We own and let 10,000 homes for social and affordable rents across North Lincolnshire.

It is part of Ongo Partnership, a group of companies providing a range of housing management, maintenance, community investment and property development services.

We're an organisation based in Scunthorpe and employs approximately 400 staff members across the group.
