How apprentices can support businesses

Pete Collins, owner of Pete Collins Motor Repairs in Winterton, has recently taken on an apprentice and is already seeing the benefits in his business.

“The apprenticeship scheme is a great idea to help local businesses.

"My apprentice Declan was taken on to help in the office at the garage and deal with the reception area.

"We definitely needed someone and it’s great for customer service.

"Our apprentice has been given a great opportunity of employment with us and a chance to make the job his own, it’s working out really well.

"I would definitely like to take on further apprentices in the future to help the business grow and support future generations."
