Construction begins in Westcliff

Building work has started on 20 brand new homes on Bridgewater Road, Westcliff, Scunthorpe.

Four, three-bedroom and 16 two-bedroom homes are being built by TG Sowerby Developments Ltd at a cost of £2.1 million. This is supported by a £500,000 grant from the Homes and Communities Agency.

The work started on site this week and is expected to be complete by April 2017. Ongo Homes tenants will be able to move in shortly after completion.

Each family home will include a modern open plan layout, a private garden and designated car parking spaces.

These new homes form part of a larger plan to regenerate the Westcliff Precinct area.

Martin Phillips, Development Manager at Ongo, said: “It’s great to see work underway in the Westcliff Regeneration area.

“We are investing over £2 million to build these new family homes which are just the start of our plans to bring new opportunities to the residents of Westcliff.”
