New playground for Barton

Work is well underway on a new play area for the residents of Overton Court, Barton-upon-Humber.

A pirate ship climbing frame, a see saw, a swing and a springy seagull are being installed as part of a £200,000 improvement scheme for the area.

The 79 homes on Overton Court have also seen upgrades to fences and paths and the car parks have been re-surfaced.

The work which started towards the end of 2015 is being carried out by PBS Construction Ltd and is expected to be finished by the end of June.

Tim Ball, Project Manager at Ongo Homes, said: “We’ve been able to invest around £200,000 on improving the appearance of Overton Court and providing a new play area for the children to use.

“The work is progressing well. The car parks have been resurfaced and the work to the fences and paths is almost complete.

“It’s pleasing to see the improvements being made and that residents are welcoming the changes we are making.”
