Over the past year, the government has invested over 1.6 billion to increase apprenticeship opportunities for young people. There are now thousands of schemes available in a variety of sectors, including health and social care, business administration, events, education and childcare.

Why choose an apprenticeship?

  • Suitable for any age
  • Hands on experience
  • Gaining a qualification in chosen field
  • Earning a wage whilst learning
  • Potential to secure employment on completion of apprenticeship

Apprenticeships allow people to gain qualifications in a much more hands on way. You are able to gain experience whilst on the job, which can improve your employability in the future. In fact, 92% of all apprentices reunited through Ongo Recruitment, who passed their qualification, was offered a full time role. There are apprenticeships out there for everyone, starting at level 2 (equivalent to a GCSE) and going all the way to degree level.

Why Choose a traineeship?

  • Skills development programme including a work placement
  • For 16-18 year olds
  • Hands on experience
  • Gaining a qualification in chosen field

A traineeship is a skills development programme that includes a work placement. Traineeships aim to provide you people aged 16-18 with a variety of experiences, knowledge, practical skills and recognised sector qualifications. Traineeships are the perfect way to test the waters before looking to complete an apprenticeship.
