£3.5m development underway

Work is progressing well on the £3.5 million regeneration project at Albert Marson Court, Scunthorpe.

Demolition work has now begun, after the existing buildings were stripped of contents. The work is being carried out by DSR Demolition and is expected to be completed within six weeks.

Once the demolition is complete, the foundations will be dug up and the site will be levelled off. It will then be ready for the redevelopment work to begin.

Replacing the flats will be 23 three bedroom houses and four four-bedroom houses – which are in high demand for the area.

Planning permission has now been approved and building is due to start in March 2017.

It is expected to take approximately 16 months to complete the work.
