The Contractors Health and Safety Scheme, commonly known as CHAS, is an important accreditation to have achieved because it gives our customers, partners and suppliers the confidence that we work safely and comply with the law. Information about the scheme is here. http://www.chas.co.uk

We have achieved the British Safety Council’s five star rating for our health, safety and environmental management and in 2014 we were awarded the highest accolade – the BSC’s Sword of Honour – an award presented to just 50 organisations worldwide.

As a Gas Safe registered company, our customers and partners can be assured we operate safely and legally on boilers, cookers, fires and all gas appliances.

Disability Confident organisations play a leading role in changing attitudes for the better. They’re changing behaviour and cultures in their own businesses, networks and communities, and reaping the benefits of inclusive recruitment practices.

Leaders in Diversity accreditation awarded August 22 (valid until August 24).

The National Centre for Diversity offers several accreditations: the first level being Investors in Diversity. The organisation initially secured this accreditation in March 2014 and from 2016 progressed to the higher level of Leaders in Diversity. Ongo has continued to achieve Leaders in Diversity accreditation since that time.

In May 2022 based on our previous accreditation results, The NCFD announced Ongo as position 44 in their list of ‘Top 100 Most Inclusive Workplaces’ out of 300 plus multi-sector organisations, and in 2023, we’ve been announced as position 24!

We have retained our ‘Leaders in Diversity’ accreditation for the third year, after taking part in a full audit and reassessment process.

The accreditation is awarded by the National Centre for Diversity. They were founded in 2005 and work with organisations of all types, to help embed good practices around fairness, respect, equality, diversity, inclusion and engagement (FREDIE).

TPAS Exemplar accreditation awarded May 2023 (valid until May 25).

TPAS Exemplar is for organisations that have been awarded the TPAS PRO accreditation three times and have consistently demonstrated their exemplar approach to engagement. It is a comprehensive process to ensure the organisation remains a beacon of excellent practice for engagement.

TPAS are a professional body that offers accreditation for customer engagement services within the social housing sector.

They act as an external auditor who can provide an independent assessment on our performance that will help us to continually improve our services to customers. It enables staff to refocus and look at new ways of working to ensure what we currently have in place provides VFM and is making a difference to the organisation and our customers.

The accreditation is for the benefit of the whole organisation. It will consider whether our customer engagement service brings value to the organisation as a hole in terms of our CE Charter and whether it results in real outcomes for the organisation and tenants at large.
