Work is well underway on the £3.5million regeneration project at the Albert Marson Court site in Scunthorpe.

Builders are now on site and the foundations are going in, with the footings due to be put in next week. The building work is being carried out by local firm GS Kelsey.

Replacing the flats will be 23 three bedroom houses and 4 four bedroom houses – which are in high demand for the area. Planning permission has now been approved for these homes with the work able to progress on time, with building due to start in March.

Martin Phillips, Development Manager, said: “We’re really pleased to be able to see progress on the old Albert Marson Court site, and we know once these homes are built they will really improve the area.

“They’re going to be really impressive, modern homes that will provide much needed family homes in Scunthorpe.

“No names have been discussed for the development and road names yet, but we will share any information or developments in naming as we have them.”

The estimated completion will be in June 2019.
