My case study - Alisha
Today, as part of our Apprenticeship Week celebrations, we hear from Alisha Martin one of our apprentices.
Name: Alisha Martin
Job title: Lettings apprentice
Team: Lettings
When you joined Ongo: 2021
Q1. Tell us a bit about your role and why an apprenticeship appealed to you?
I’m on a level three business and administration apprenticeship with the Lettings/Homeless team and I’m about to go into gate-way and get ready for my exam.
I wanted to do an apprenticeship as I wanted to work but also gain a qualification at the same time.
Q2. How did you find out about apprenticeships?
I had family who worked at Ongo and we saw the opportunities which were available to me and decided to go for one.
Q3. What advice would you give someone considering an apprenticeship?
I’d say just go for it, it’s a massive learning curve and has supported me with my confidence and English.
Q4. If you had one sentence to describe your apprenticeship, what would it be?
It has been an amazing experience, learning new skills and meeting some brilliant people along the way.
