Allenby Close action day brings community together

We wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Action Day at Allenby Close on Monday 24 August.

The day was a great success, with residents getting involved in a community litter pick, speaking with colleagues from across Ongo and sharing their thoughts on the area. It was fantastic to see so many people taking part and helping make a positive difference in their neighbourhood.

Throughout the day, residents had the opportunity to meet members of the Neighbourhood Team, discuss ideas for improving communal areas, talk about bin store usage and waste disposal, and share feedback on estate services. Our Neighbourhoods Team also visited residents across the estate to hear about their experiences of living at Allenby Close and discuss any concerns, enquiries or support they may need.

There was some really positive engagement throughout the day, with residents taking the time to chat with us and tell us what matters most to them. The community litter pick was particularly well supported, helping improve the appearance of the area while bringing neighbours together.

Our Customer Engagement Team was also on hand with activities for children and young people, creating a welcoming atmosphere and giving families the chance to learn more about the support and services available in their community.

We’d also like to thank our partners from Lincoln City Council’s Waste Team and Housing Team, as well as Lincolnshire Police, for attending and supporting the day. Their involvement helped make the event a great opportunity for residents to access advice, raise concerns and connect with local services.

Events like these are a great opportunity for us to listen, learn and work together with residents and partners to make our neighbourhoods cleaner, safer and more welcoming for everyone.

Thank you again to everyone who came along and helped make the day such a success.
