A public consultation event will take place on Monday 12 November to gather the views of local residents on a proposed new scheme to be built by us.

The scheme on Station Road in Scunthorpe will see 38 new homes, a mixture of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes. They will be a mixture of tenure type including homes for rent, shared ownership and rent to buy.

We are looking to speak to local residents to seek comments on the proposed development ahead of any planning application

This is another example of partnership working between us and North Lincolnshire Council to provide more affordable homes in North Lincolnshire. This is a site included in the partnership with NLC, bringing forward their land for new development purposes.

Martin Phillips, Development Manager, said: “It’s really important to us to gather views of local people, to see what would be important to them in a new development. We will be taking all feedback on board that we receive from the consultation, and use this to put our planning application together to create new homes the whole community can be proud of.”

Cllr Rob Waltham, Leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “We are pleased to be working with Ongo Homes on this initiative to provide homes for people in Scunthorpe. Under the proposals a mixture of tenures are provided to meet different needs and affordability, including rent to buy.

“This consultation event will give residents the opportunity to take a look at the plans and let us know what they think before Ongo submit their planning application. Please go along and share your views about the development.”

There is no need to book, just turn up on the day. Details of the consultation event are:

  • Date: Monday 12 November
  • Time: 1.30-4.00pm
  • Place: On the site of the former council depot on Station Road
