Two public consultation events are due to take place on 10 May and 6 June to gather the views of local residents on two proposed new schemes to be built by us.

The schemes on West Street and Rowland Road which will see 50 new homes in total are both in Scunthorpe. It is estimated that work will begin in Autumn 2018 and will take 12 months to complete.

This is part of the partnership programme between us and North Lincolnshire Council to build 240 affordable homes in North Lincolnshire.

The homes will be a mixture of two, three and four bed houses and the cost of both sites will be between £5.5m – £6m in total. There will be 28 homes on Rowland Road and 22 Homes on West Street.

Martin Phillips, Development Manager, said: “It’s brilliant that we’re able to move forward with this partnership programme with North Lincolnshire Council. It has enabled us to be able to build much needed affordable housing in North Lincolnshire.

“We would really encourage local residents to come along to the consultation event to look at our proposed plans and offer their views and make any suggestions to make these even better homes.”

Cllr Rob Waltham, leader, North Lincolnshire Council, said: “This is a major investment that will see more affordable homes built in Scunthorpe in this ambitious project.

“This is an ideal opportunity for people to come and see the plans, find out more and tell us what they think. I welcome the partnership with Ongo Homes – we are looking forward to working with them to build these much needed homes.”
