Our employment support and recruitment team are inviting businesses to their event on Friday 24 March, to celebrate working together and making a difference to the community.

Taking place at The Wortley House Hotel in Scunthorpe between 10am-2pm, all businesses who have worked with them over the last 20 years, and businesses who would like to in the future, are invited to attend.

There will be welcome drinks followed by a showcase of what the teams offer, including mental health support for colleagues, recruitment and training opportunities, apprenticeships and upskilling. There will also be talks from clients, lunch with entertainment and networking opportunities.

Since opening their doors in 2003, Our employment support team has helped over 17,000 people with work related skills and support.

Ongo Recruitment has also employed 300 people each year on a range of temporary contracts and secured jobs for hundreds more.

Maryanne Fitzgerald, Engagement and Enterprise Manager here at Ongo said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating 20 years of supporting the community, creating social value, boosting the local economy and making a real difference to people’s lives.

“Over the years we’ve grown significantly, moving offices, launching over 20 new projects and achieving over £3 million in grant funding. It means a lot to us to showcase this and look forward to the future.

“The aim of this event is to bring businesses together, celebrate the achievements of local people and strengthen relationships with each other, so we can continue growing talent in the area.

“It’d be great to see as many people there as possible, so please come along and represent your business if you can.”
