Free industry training to benefit 60 people over the next three months
We are excited to announce the launch of a series of free, in-demand training courses aimed at helping members of the local community get into work, progress in their careers, or upskill.
The courses, which will begin in November, are designed to provide essential skills to those looking to work in the construction or security industry.
Our Skills and Personal Development team offer a wide range of services including building self-confidence, interview skills, volunteering and work placements, and bespoke courses delivered by highly trained mentors.
These courses are conducted in relaxed and comfortable training suites at our Cole Street office in Scunthorpe, typically in small group sizes to ensure a personalised approach.
Upcoming courses include:
CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
- Enrolment: Wednesday 30 October
- Course dates: Monday 4 November – Friday 8 November
- Description: Provides proof that individuals working on construction sites have the appropriate training and qualifications for their job
Safety Passport
- Course dates: Monday 18 November – Friday 29 November
- Description: Ensures workers possess a recognised level of health and safety knowledge and awareness to work on engineering construction sites worldwide
Security Industry Authority (SIA) License
- Enrolment: Wednesday 27November
- Course dates: Monday 2 December – Friday 20 December
- Description: A legal requirement for anyone undertaking a private security role within the UK, such as security officers or door supervisors
