Glow walk success
More than 450 walkers helped glow up the streets on Friday 9 September for Lindsey Lodge’s annual glow walk.
In total 13 Ongo colleagues took part in the 10-mile walk, which started and ended at Lindsey Lodge Hospice.
The challenge aimed to encourage staff from across the business to get active and support a great cause. So, for every person that signed up, the People & Culture team paid for their entry fee to encourage as many to take part as possible.
Karen Cowan, Head of Governance and Corporate said: “The Glow Walk on Friday was a brilliant evening, and it was great to be part of an event with more than 500 other people all raising money for a brilliant cause.
“Lindsey Lodge has touched the lives of so many people, including our colleagues and customers – so to be part of the Ongo glow walk team was amazing.”
Lindsey Lodge provides care for adults with life limiting illnesses with care for both day and inpatients. It is an organisation close to the hearts of many local people and one we’re really happy to have supported this event.
