Half term fun at The Arc

The Arc in Westcliff hosted a week of fun half term activities for local families to get involved in last week.

The activities kicked off on 18 February with their weekly family fun club, followed by a bus trip on 19 February to the North Lincolnshire Museum, which 23 adults and children attended. There was also a fully booked drama workshop on 22 February, which local company Dramarama hosted and neon disco for all ages.

Jemma Akers, who is a Youth Mentor at The Arc said: “We’ve had loads of fun over half term, it’s been great to see so many people and we’re really pleased with how the activities have gone down.

“It’s really important for us to continue to build relationships and engage with local people so we can give them any support they need. The Arc is open to everyone so if you want to find out more, or if you have any questions about the support we offer, just come and see us.”

Since opening last year, The Arc has set up weekly sessions including bingo, benefit and housing advice, youth clubs and coffee mornings. And they have a team of Mentors whose job it is to engage with local people to make sure they have access to education, training, employment opportunities and activities, so there are always things to get involved in.  They are always looking for suggestions for new events and activities, so get in touch with them if you have any.
