Ermine Grove in Broughton was highly commended at the annual LABC South Yorkshire & Humber Building Excellence Awards which took place at Forest Pines on Thursday 11 May.

The awards are considered the largest business to business building sector awards, and aim to showcase quality building work across 12 categories. The awards recognise quality buildings, outstanding companies, along with companies working in partnership to go that extra mile in delivering a project.

Along with our partners BSB Architecture, T G Sowerby Developments and DBA Management, we narrowly missed out on winning their category, ‘Best Social or Affordable Housing Project’. We were however, highly commended for the new development at Ermine Grove in Broughton.

The development is made up of 13 two-bedroom bungalows which were completed in April 2016 costing just over £1M.

Martin Phillips, Development Manager here at Ongo, said: “We may have missed out on being crowned winners in our category, but it is brilliant to be recognised alongside our valued partners for our Ermine Grove project.

“The development made it through to the top four social or affordable projects in this region, which is a brilliant achievement for us.

“By working in partnership with BSB Architecture, T G Sowerby Developments & DBA Management, we have been able to produce homes that not only are we extremely proud of, but that our tenants enjoy living in.”
