Investing in your home
Planned improvement works
Each year, we plan upgrades to help keep our homes safe, comfortable and well-maintained. This year, we are investing £12.8 million in a variety of improvements such as:
- £2.9m in replacing kitchens and bathrooms with the aim to deliver improvements to 350+ properties
- Improving windows, doors and glazing in over 450 homes, and start work on older, traditional properties where replacing windows is more complex due to planning rules and conservation area restrictions.
- Continuing our annual roof replacement programme, completing around 100 roofs at a cost of £1 million. In addition, we will deliver a complex re-roofing project at Trent View House, which will require specialist logistics, strict health and safety arrangements and careful project management.
- We will invest £2.65 million in renewing boilers and heating systems. This will include replacing systems when they can no longer be repaired, as well as starting a project which uses repair history to prioritise replacements in homes that are experiencing the most problems.
- Start a long-term project of renewing door entry systems.
- Continue our energy efficiency upgrades to street lighting and communal areas.
If your home is on this year’s programme of works, we’ll be in touch to let you know. Further information about how we approach planned works to your home can be found here.
