On Thursday 31 May, Jake Quickenden will make a special guest appearance at The Arc opening party celebration.

The Arc was officially opened for business on Monday 21 May, but this event will be something to officially welcome the local community into The Arc and celebrate everything it has to offer.

The event will run from 1pm – 3pm and is a free of charge event.

Special guest Jake Quickenden will be attending to open it to the public, say a few words and take time for selfies and autographs.

Within The Arc is a cafe, Post Office, enterprise zone, Little Owl’s preschool, a training centre, youth zone and meeting rooms available for hire, this event will give visitors the chance to see what is on offer in this brand new building.

Fran Rhodes, Estate Coordinator at Ongo, said: “This event will be a brilliant opportunity for the whole community to come along and visit The Arc. There will be lots of staff there to chat about the different services we can provide, along with cakes, music and some goodies to give away too.

“We’re really excited that Jake is attending our event.  We know he’s really popular with the people of Scunthorpe, and it’ll be great to welcome him into The Arc and to meet some of our local residents.”

PLEASE NOTE: We’ll be taking photos and video on the day, so if you would rather not be on camera, please let someone wearing either an Ongo or Arc t-shirt know.

We will also be carrying out bag checks ahead of people entering The Arc for photos with Jake, this is simply a standard security measure, so please don’t bring along any bags larger than A4 size.
