Join us for a community action day in Westcliff

We’re inviting tenants to join us for a community action day in Westcliff on Tuesday 13 October.

The event, which runs from 10am to 4pm, will bring together colleagues, local partners and tenants for a day focused on improving the area, tackling local issues and speaking to people about what matters most in their neighbourhood. The Arc will act as a hub throughout the day, offering information, advice and opportunities for tenants to meet teams and partner organisations.

Throughout the day, teams will be out and about carrying out litter picks, visiting key areas across Westcliff and speaking with tenants about any concerns they have. Activities will take place around Selby Court and York House, Padstow Walk and Ripon Close, with colleagues and partners working together to help make a visible difference in the community.

There will also be opportunities for tenants to meet local services, colleagues and partner organisations at The Arc throughout the day. Alongside advice from the Fire Service and Cadent on fire, gas and carbon monoxide safety, tenants can drop in for a cuppa and a chat, find out more about local support services and speak directly with teams about any issues or concerns affecting them.

As well as finding out more about the support available, tenants can share feedback, complete a short survey and chat with teams about what they’d like to see in their community. A poster competition will also be running on the day for younger tenants.

Jane Crookes, Regional Manager said, “These action days are all about working together and listening to the people who live in our communities. It’s a chance for us to get out into the neighbourhood, speak with tenants face to face and make a positive difference to the area. We’d love to see as many people as possible come along and get involved.”
