Join us for Housing diversity day
On Monday 3 October, we are taking part in #HousingDiversityDay, which is being held by Tower Hamlet Homes.
We will be joined by other housing associations across the UK and doing a social media takeover, to share our experiences and journeys with equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).
Four of our colleagues are taking part in webinars throughout the day, where they will be sharing their knowledge and experiences, and how we’re embedding EDI in everything we do.
John Cavill, Learning & Growing Project Manager, will be talking about The Ongo Growing & Learning projects. Including introducing communities to gardening, growing produce and the mental health benefits it can give local people as they get the opportunity to be more involved with the outside world.
Kerry Copson, Community Development Manager, will be discussing her work with younger people from deprived communities to support them in achieving their goals.
Fran Rhodes, Estate Co-Ordinator, will be talking about her experience working in Westcliff, the work and commitment that went into regenerating a community and how it ultimately led to greater feelings of safety and belonging in the neighbourhood.
Helen Wright, Tenancy Services Manager, will be talking about Myos House offering independent living to those with dementia and their families, allowing them to live more independently and comfortably than before.
