On Tuesday 24 July a brand new library service launched at The Arc.

This is a regular service, completely free of charge for adults and children, organised by North Lincolnshire Library Services which brings the much loved library service back to Westcliff.

Visiting The Arc on Tuesday afternoon from 1-3pm there is the opportunity to sign up/register with the library, and borrow up to 6 books at any one time.

Kerry Copson, Community Development Manager here at Ongo, said: “It’s brilliant news that we’ve been able to organise the library service to be based at The Arc. Lots of local residents have been asking for a library to return to Westcliff for quite some time, so it’s great we can help make this happen.

“We’re hoping this service will be really popular and lots of people will take up the opportunity to borrow books, whether it’s for themselves or their children to read. There will be a good selection each month  to choose from and we can’t wait for it to launch.”

Emma Prideaux, Partnerships and Community Librarian at North Lincs Council said: “It’s great to be able to set up our library service in such a nice, modern building. We’ve got loads of books that everyone is welcome to use, young and old, so come and check them out.

“At the moment we’re involved in the national Summer Reading Challenge, where kids read and exchange six books through the holidays, and are rewarded at the end. So far it’s been very popular and we can’t wait for it to continue.

“For more info, come along and chat to me, or visit the North Lincs Council website.”

This library service will compliment the current mobile library service which visits Westcliff every three weeks. Keep an eye out on social media for the future times and dates of the library service.
