More new homes in Scunthorpe

Work has started on site to build four one-bed homes on Henderson Avenue.

The site, which used to be our office for the Crosby area is being used to build much needed affordable homes in the area.

Broughton based builders MFM Ltd will be carrying out the building work, with January 2018 being the expected completion date for the project. It is costing £340,000 and the homes will have features including off road parking, modern kitchens and bathrooms as well as being built to high levels of insulation to reduce heating costs

Martin Phillips, Development Manager her at Ongo, said: “It’s brilliant that we’re able to make good use of our old area office site. Homes are in big demand in the Henderson Avenue area, so we’re sure these will be really popular once they’re ready to be let.”
