New home consultation: Ashtree Close, Belton

New home consultation: Ashtree Close, Belton Image

A virtual public consultation process is underway, to gather the views of local residents on a proposed new scheme to be built by us.

The scheme on Ashtree Close in Belton includes 24 properties in total, which are to be made up of one and two-bedroom bungalows and two and three-bedroom houses, all for affordable rent.

These homes will see existing flats on two sites demolished to make way for building. To limit disruption in the area, it is due to take place in two phases, with the second site being started as the first one completes.

The designs include some landscaping of the wider estate to provide safe informal play for the children and to regenerate the area as well as bring new, much needed alternative housing options.

Existing residents have been part of original consultation, and the designs were influenced by those who would like to move into one of the new properties. However, there are a number remaining, which will be advertised via Home Choice Lincs once available.

Amy Schoenmaker, Development Project Manager said: “We are delighted to be announcing new designs for this site at Ashtree Close.

“For a number of years now we’ve heard from local residents that larger, family homes are needed in the area, and that the existing flats are not fit for purpose, so it’s great to be at a stage to deliver that.

“If you live in the area we’d love to hear your feedback on the designs, so please take a look and send us your comments.”

We are looking to gather comments from local residents on the proposed development ahead of any planning application. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are carrying this out online.

All comments must be summited by Monday 24 May 2021. To view site plans, house types and submit any comments on the layout, type, range and number of homes, highways and car parking, or design and internal layout.
