The brand new community hub in Westcliff will be called The Arc.

As part of a £9million regeneration project, The Arc will be a community space where everyone is welcome. It will have a pre-school, cafe, social zones and private meeting rooms.

The Arc is due to open by April 2018.

Jan Williams, Head of Community Investment here at Ongo, said: “We’re really excited to have a name and brand for the new building. We carried out lots of consultation with local people, Ongo staff and stakeholders. The feedback was that the building needed to be modern, friendly, welcoming and have an element of nature and the outdoors. We took all of this feedback on board, and The Arc was a great fit to encompass all of the important features mentioned.

“The Arc is going to be a place where people of all ages and backgrounds are welcome, with something there to suit everyone. There will be a cafe, pre-school, meeting areas and of course there will be free Wi-Fi throughout the building.

“There will be many familiar faces working at The Arc, with the Westcliff Drop In Team being based there, as well as Ongo staff, North Lincolnshire Council, and other key partners.

“I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has been involved in the consultation; your feedback was so valuable and helped us create a name and brand we can all be excited about.”

The regeneration project will see a brand new community hub, five retail units and 41 homes being built, with completion of the whole project expected by March 2019.
