No deposit? No problem with our rent to buy homes

More homes are being built to help people onto the property ladder that don’t have a deposit saved.

The homes, developed by us are located on Rochdale Road in Scunthorpe and will be a mixture of two and three bedroom houses They are due to be completed by spring/summer 2020.

This development is the second rent to by scheme by us, which is a national initiative to support people to get on the property ladder, that do not have a deposit saved. The idea is, you would live in one of these homes for five years, paying less than market rent – to allow you to save towards a deposit at the same time.  

Martin Phillips, Development Manager, said: “We’re really excited to be starting on our second rent to buy site in Scunthorpe. This scheme really is a brilliant way to get on the property ladder without needing a deposit saved straight away.

“The rent you’d pay in one of these homes is less than the standard market rent price, so the idea is, you can but the extra money away to save towards a deposit. Then after five years living in the home you’ll have the option to buy it and take that first step onto the property ladder.”

We also have rent to buy homes in the popular Collum Avenue area of Scunthorpe which will be ready towards the end of the year. They are a mixture of two and three bedroom townhouses. There are also other locations in the pipeline in the future.
