Throughout December we’ve been running the #OngoElfieSelfie campaign to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society, raising £300.

Our elves have been out and about during the festive season encouraging people to take selfies with them to tweet to our twitter account. For every selfie tweeted, we’ve pledged to donate to the Alzheimer’s Society; a national organisation which ran their own ‘Elf Day’ on Friday 8 December.

The elves have been visiting the different Ongo offices, festive events as well as making their way round Scunthorpe town centre. They’ve received 200 selfies so far, from staff, tenants and the general public.

Leah Gillott, Marketing Assistant and organiser of the Elfie Selfie campaign, said: “We wanted to do something to give back to a good cause in the run up to Christmas, and the Alzheimer’s Society is a charity that means a lot to many people, so we decided this would be a great charity to support.

“We’ve had loads of selfies tweeted to us and it’s been great to see so many people get involved in our campaign.”

Alzheimer’s Society is a care and research charity which supports people with dementia and their carers and family. Money raised for this cause will be used to make sure the charity can continue to support people with dementia.
