Over 3,000 people attended our annual Ongo Carnival which took place on Wednesday 8 August.

The carnival is a free event which takes place at Manor Park, Burringham Road, every year. It has become a firm favourite with many North Lincolnshire families attending from all corners of the county.

There was something for everyone at our Ongo carnival including donkey rides, face painting, a circus workshop and bouncy castles.

Demonstrations took place throughout the day from local organisations including Messingham Martial Arts, Westcliff Twirlers and Field of Dreams Dog Display.

There were also lots of information stands at the carnival including our staff with themed stalls, The Samaritans, The Arc, North Lincolnshire Council, LIVES and Rainbow Cafe to chat to local people about the services they offer.

Wendy Wolfe, Customer Engagement Manager here at Ongo, said: “The carnival was a huge success and it was great to see so many families enjoying all the fun, free activities on offer. It can be difficult to find activities to fill the summer holidays so we hope our carnival can offer a day out for the whole family that doesn’t cost lots of money.

“I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone that came along and made the day such a brilliant success, and also to everyone that helped out to make the day possible. We hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did.”
