Over 200 local Barton residents attended our Royal wedding street party on Fairfield Drive at the weekend.

The free of charge event took place on Saturday 19 May from 1pm-3pm, and saw a great turnout of families enjoying the nice weather and royal celebrations.

There were a range of activities for the whole family to enjoy, including a BBQ, face painting, a royal themed fancy dress competition, games and goody bags for the children. The event was really well attended with around 220 people visiting the Viking Centre during the afternoon. There was a mixture of children, friends and families all getting involved in the activities planned by us.

Fran Rhodes, Estate Coordinator, said: “We’re really pleased with how the event went and was great to see so many families enjoying the celebrations.

“It’s a great way for local residents to get together and also to help people to get to know one another.”
