Successful partnership working for National Apprenticeship Week

Ongo Recruitment, in partnership with Matthews & Tannert and North Lindsey College, celebrated a successful National Apprenticeship Week by inspiring the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

Throughout the week, a series of demonstrations were held showcasing various trades, including plastering, electrical work, plumbing and heating, and joinery. Attendees were given the opportunity to learn more about these trades and what they entail by listening to the professionals and also getting real hands-on experience.

The week concluded with interview opportunities for those interested in pursuing careers in the selected trades. Over 100 people attended the events, eager to gain insights and explore potential career paths.

Out of the 100 who attended, 25 were selected for an interview, one person was successful in securing a full-time apprenticeship position with Matthews & Tannert, and four people were offered work placement opportunities

Matthews & Tannert said, “We had the privilege of meeting so many talented, motivated, and passionate young individuals. It has been a true pleasure discussing apprenticeships and opportunities in the construction industry.

North Lindsey College said, “Our students recently participated in these events. Our plastering, electrical, plumbing, heating, and joinery students competed for interviews in their respective trade and we’re happy to say that a total of 12 North Lindsey students received an offer for interview as a result of their hard work.

“Once again, we would like to say a huge thank you to Ongo and Matthews & Tannert for providing such an incredible opportunity.”
