Supporting the community - recent highlights

Find out below about how we’ve supported the community over the recent weeks

  • We received a donation of £5,500 worth of IT equipment from Currys which included 12 tablet devices, four laptops and one desktop computer to provide digital support and enhance customers’ opportunities for training, counselling and employment
  • Keith Robinson, our Growing and Learning Project Co-ordinator, is working with volunteers to build bird boxes, bug hotels and hedgehog houses which will be taken to local youth clubs and schools to paint. The finished bird boxes are being donated to care homes and retirement schemes to encourage wildlife and brighten the community. Carol Richardson, Community Engagement and Volunteer Manager, has been working with Wickes, B&Q and GS Kelsey who have kindly donated materials and discounts to support the craft project
  • Future plans include looking to working with schools for pupils to learn about planting seeds and how to ensure healthy growth.
