Fire at Sutton House, Scunthorpe

We would like to say a huge thank you to our tenants at Sutton House, Scunthorpe for their excellent and timely response to this incident.
The tenant who was taken to hospital has now fortunately been released.
Thankfully health and safety measures, including sprinklers, were successfully deployed and guidance on what to do in the event of a fire were followed.
We’re pleased that the majority of homes were unaffected by fire or water damage, and are continuing to support those who need it.

Today at 5.39am we were informed of a fire at Sutton House in Scunthorpe.
Humberside Fire and Rescue have been in attendance and we are deeply saddened to hear that one person has been taken to hospital. Our thoughts are with them.
It is too early to know what caused this incident and there will be a full investigation in due course. Fortunately our sprinkler system did activate as designed, making sure the fire didn’t spread.
Our priority is to help those people directly affected. Colleagues on site are providing support and arranging for alternative accommodation to be provided for those who need it.
