Take part in our gardening competition

To make up for our annual carnival not happening this year, we have decided to host a gardening competition for all our tenants with great prizes up for grabs. 

The competition gives tenants the opportunity to showcase their gardens, have fun, get involved and celebrate the efforts many have made to their outside areas over lockdown.

There are seven categories;

• Best individual small garden – flat
• Best individual large garden – house
• Communal garden (retirement living)
• Best hanging baskets
• Best container / tubs
• Best vegetable patch child / children
• Best vegetable patch (adult)

A panel of judges made up of Ongo staff and tenants will come together to decide on the winner for each category. Winners will receive a £50 voucher and the runners up will receive a £25 voucher.           

The closing date for the competition is 31 July 2020.

Wendy Wolfe, our Customer Engagement Manager said: “This is a great way to involve and reward our tenants for all the hard work they have done on their gardens over the lockdown period. It’s just another way of engaging with them and showing our appreciation and understand during these difficult time.

“If you know of any tenants who take pride in their garden that you think would like to enter, please share the details with them.”
